The Holiday Star Program is a fundraiser put on by RISE Against Suicide and encourages everyone to give the gift of youth mental health during the holiday season.
Rise Against Suicide helps youth at risk of suicide by removing the financial and social barriers to treatment, enabling them to find hope and healing.
We hear you and care about you.
We find you the best mental health therapist for you or your child. You are never alone.
Youth feel more hopeful after therapy than when they started.
We have funded over 7,500 therapy sessions that offer our suicidal youth a safe place to discuss their struggles and gain tools to help them when they are struggling. By the end of therapy, our kids are well on their way towards finding hope and healing.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, no family ever receives a bill from Rise Against Suicide for their child’s therapy. We believe all children regardless of their financial or social standing, deserve mental health care. We offer a variety of ways for our community to support our mission.
Suicide is the leading cause of death in the 10 to 24 year old age group in Colorado
Half of young people ages 3-17 in Colorado don’t get needed mental health counseling
Colorado Suicide Rate Among Youths Has Increased 58% from 2016 to 2019
If you know a youth or are a youth struggling with suicidal thoughts, 19 years old or younger, and uninsured or underinsured, call us at 720-263-0085 for help.
Referrals are received from BVSD, SVVSD, youth organizations and individuals in our service area. This includes counties in the Boulder Valley and Saint Vrain Valley school districts.
We can get youth mental health therapy within 48-72 hours if needed.
All therapy sessions are paid for by RISE. Families will never see a bill.
